Holy Family Grade School is centrally located in the City of Glendale which is convenient to Los Angeles and surrounding cities. It is within walking distance of the Glendale Galleria and the Americana at Brand. Students come from as far as Santa Clarita, Sylmar, Glendora and Covina to attend Holy Family Grade School (HFGS). Many parents who work in the medical and business fields in Glendale have their children attend HFGS.
Holy Family Grade School opened in 1925 under the direction of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The school has continued to provide an excellent Catholic elementary school education preparing the children well for high school and beyond. It is the mission of Holy Family Grade School to educate the whole child through spiritual development, a curriculum with high academic standards, the arts and physical education.
Holy Family Grade School, a co-ed kindergarten through grade eight school, has an excellent reputation. We have specialized teachers in music, art, physical education and computers. We have a wonderful, dedicated faculty and staff.
The junior high grades are departmentalized. Students have opportunities to participate in sports, cheerleading, concert chorus, Kiwanis Builders Club, academic decathlon and service to the church and to the community.
