LA Live Steamers Ghost Train Promises Spooky Fun for All Ages
The ghouls and ghosts are BACK for the Los Angeles Live Steamers 13th Annual Ghost Train.
This popular, family-friendly Halloween event in Griffith Park features a spectacular world of 30 professionally-designed displays, complete with lights, sound, animatronic figures, fog, and black lights.
Guests board bench-style train cars pulled by 1/8 scale steam or diesel locomotives for a 20-minute ride through the 13-acre park facility. Animated displays include man-eating plant Audrey and her musical offspring; marooned pirates seeking lost treasure; electrifying experiments; a flying saucer; and evil clowns in a kaleidoscope tent.
Travel through a fog-filled tunnel and encounter Grandpa & his moonshine still; a haunted attic; giant spiders and cats as big as houses; a graveyard; and a Dia de Muertos celebration. Christmas & Halloween collide in a grand finale ending.
The Victorian station offers a real hearse, jack-o’-lantern light/ music show, and snacks and souvenirs for sale.
Tickets are $10 per rider. Riders must be at least 34 inches tall and under 350 pounds. The attraction is built and operated by volunteers of the LALS Railroad Museum for their annual fundraiser.
