Resolutions and Revelations
By Rev. Pam MacGregor
A New Year will only be new if you bring a new You to it!
How will you do things better this year? What will it take to bring a new freshness and creativity to your energy?
Unless you think differently this year than last, not much will change. You can’t change every circumstance in your life but you can change your attitude, perceptions, and the way you communicate with others. A simple shift in your perspective or perception can change your experience.
By looking at life from a different angle, you are less likely to become bored and complacent. Life is a proactive process. Stagnation is lifeless. By bringing a fresh attitude to daily living, you’ll keep healthy and alert. You deserve the best, so do your best and don’t settle for mediocrity. One of my favorite affirmations is: I expect the best and the best always happens!
Negative thinking can become a habit and a way of life. Thought is creative and you have control over how and what you choose to think. That is real freedom!
Ernest Holmes said, in his great book, A New Design for Living: “You change old patterns, little by little, item by item, until the old pattern is replaced by the new.”
You are a free spirit, filled with ideas and creations beyond your human perceptions. Welcome change, it is life’s most consistent visitor. Carry an atmosphere of “affirmative expectation” everywhere you go and watch your life change! Happy New You!
