Valley View Elementary School’s Spring Fling: Family Fun for a Good Cause – April 29, 2012

A pie-eating contest, old-fashioned cake walk, game booths, face-painting, inflatable jumpers, and more will keep your family smiling all afternoon at the Valley View Elementary School SPRING FLING!

Be entertained by Cheerleaders, Capoeria (Brazilian martial art that combines dance and music), and Kung Fu athletic performances, Sword-fighting, Folkloric and Jazz dancers, plus student performances including Kindergarten dancers and upper grade original song performances. Nosh on pulled pork and chicken sandwiches, veggie dogs, sno-cones, and baked goods. Don’t forget to visit the Student Council lemonade stand and to enter the 50/50 raffle.

We welcome local families, with children of all ages, to join us. Money raised supports Valley View Elementary School. Since 1917, Valley View has been the hidden gem of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Located in the Hollywood Hills, Valley View (K-6) boasts a dedicated teaching staff and PTA, a culturally diverse population, and an 800+ Academic Performance Index (API) score. Our annual enrollment of only 260 children makes Valley View Elementary unique in size. Funds raised support library services, computer labs, field trips, science enrichment, and interactive assemblies.
