Walk and Fun Run to Benefit L.A.’s Poor: Bring Fido!

2013 Walk logoWHAT: A Walk/Fun Run to benefit those living in poverty in Los Angeles.

WHO: Adults, children, and pets walking and running to benefit the impoverished of Los Angeles. 100 percent of funds raised go directly to the needy via Catholic charity the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Council of Los Angeles.

WHEN: This Saturday, Sept. 28 (10a–2p).

WHERE: Lincoln Park, 3501 Valley Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90031

WHY: Because over six million Californians live in poverty, one third of them are children.

HOW: The Fun Run begins at 10:30 a.m., the Walk shortly afterward. Registration is $15 for adults, $5 for pets; plus there is a free Festival & Health Fair sponsored by the City of Los Angeles. The public is encouraged to attend.
