Wow Says It All for the Harris Brothers
Twins Matt and Mark Harris stand out from the crowd, not just because they look so doubly dapper as if they just hosted a grand party at the Kentucky Derby (which they have for many years), but also because they treat everyone like a star at their soirees. And that’s why so many fabulous celebrities love to flock to their “Wow” events, and that’s why I’ve enjoyed their company so much.
Wow Creations is the company run by the Harris brothers, also known as the “Kings of Swag,” because of the gifting suites they have produced across America. They have hosted events at Sundance Film Festival, Canadian Country Music Awards, TV Land Awards, prestigious Hollywood affairs, and wherever VIPs gather.
They also have had some other projects that have kept them busy. They have been called upon as expert appraisers on A&E’s number one rated show Storage Wars. For a couple of seasons audiences have enjoyed their humor and likable personalities on several shows. Particularly entertaining was the episode called “The Kook, The Chief, His Son, and The Brothers.” After seeing how their cheery charm has translated on the TV screen I’m surprised a network hasn’t given them their own show.
Chatting with Mark, I’m not surprised he let the cat out of the bag and told me that they’ve actually been developing such a production. “Who doesn’t want to be part of the celebrity scene and see what it takes to put together a luxurious gift lounge. We’d follow the stars around as they discover the latest trends in products and services. It would be a big ‘wow’ for everyone,” Mark reported.
They’ve already had their own online radio show called “The Tastemakers,” on LA Talk Radio. Mark said, “We talked about ‘the good life.’ We discussed fashion, style and the entertainment industry.” Mark and Matt are certainly well qualified since they have a wonderful reputation for great taste. That was obvious at their recent annual Oscar lounge at the Luxe Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Mark and Matt caught up with Oscar nominee June Squibb, 84, who was gushing that she feels like a kid with the whirlwind of attention that she’s gotten thanks to Nebraska. Prior to enjoying their big Oscar moments, Steven Price composer for Gravity, and Craig Borten co-writer for Dallas Buyers Club, were happy to meet Pura Botanica founder Christy Booth at the Wow event and learn about the invigorating bath and body personal care products that have therapeutic essential oils.
Other VIPS got to meet the interesting entrepreneurs who were showcasing their products and services. Radar Watches, Fegogioielli Jewelry, Sugar Shack Candles, Pampered Me Organically, Nutty Canine, Krystal Klear Water, Gary Tees, Simply Divine Brownies, Nutty Canine, Paper Shower instant cleaner, Vance Family Soy Candles, Perfect Tan, and Dr. Kathy Gohar’s Cosmetic and Laser Center were among the sponsors on hand to impress the famous guests. Also among the popular pampering products for Hollywood A-listers was the BrVelle, hand crafted selection of candles that are “inspired by the beauty and realism and pleasantness of life.” Adding fun as he greeted the guests was an entertainer known as The Hollywood Clown.
It’s always fun with the Harris brothers, Los Angeles natives who founded Wow Creations in 2004, presenting entertainment marketing and global strategy brand promotion. As industry veterans they travel the world hosting celebrity gifting events presenting the top vendors. They are at the Emmys, TBS Comedy Festival, William Shatner Charities, and Miss Universe, among others. They are gracious hosts and the stars love them. Mark noted that some of the celebrities they have enjoyed meeting include “President Bill Clinton, Prince Albert of Monaco, Michael Jordon, Quentin Tarantino, Donald Trump, Tim Allen, Kurt Russell, Gene Simmons, Eva Longoria, and so many more.”
With an eye for talent and beauty, Mark and Matt also keep busy judging beauty pageants including: Miss California, USA; Miss Nevada, USA; Miss Illinois, USA; Miss Maryland, USA; and Miss New Jersey, USA. The dynamic duo said it’s a great way to see the beauty of the country.
