Robert “Bob” W. Service.

Robert W. Service, 85, long-time resident of Burbank, California, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2009. He was preceded in death by his life mate of 37 years, Dan Marit. A compassionate and gentle soul, a Renaissance man and a true gentleman and scholar, Bob leaves behind numerous friends from many walks of life. They grieve over his passing and cherish his memory. A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 1pm in Bob’s garden (834 N. Rose St., Burbank). Remembrances may be made to the Burbank Temporary Aid Center.
