These are the dogs days for the Dodgers (62-53), who embarked on a 10-game, three-city road trip by snagging two of three from Miami including last Sunday’s 5-0 whitewash.

Chris Capuano (11-8), a soft-tossing left-hander, held the Marlins to two singles over eight innings, striking out 10 and walking three.

Hanley Ramirez, a one-time Marlin, gave the Dodgers a 1-0 edge in the third inning when he lofted a sacrifice fly that brought home Capuano, who singled.

In the eighth, Mark Ellis (three hits) singled, Matt Kemp moved him to third on a double, and Ramirez lined a sharp single that made it 3-0.

It swelled to 4-0 on Andre Ethier’s hit, and Luis Cruz’s double gave the Blue Crew a 5-0 lead.

The Marlins dented the Dodgers 7-3 on Saturday behind an 11-hit attack that saw them slash five doubles.

The Dodgers led 1-0 in the fourth when Shane Victorino drove in A. J. Ellis (double) on a force out.

When Ethier singled in Kemp (three hits) in the fifth it became 2-0, but the Marlins tallied four runs in the bottom of the inning using five hits off Joe Blanton (8-10), who gave up six hits and four runs (earned).

Clayton Kershaw (10-6) was in command during Friday’s 5-2 win. In six and one-third frames, he walked one and fanned seven, allowing three hits and two runs (earned).

Juan Rivera’s two-run homer during a four-run sixth lifted the Dodgers to a three-run lead. Kemp (two hits and a run) also drove in a run.

Chad Billingsley (8-9), who has struggled, finally is shaping into form as he threw a seven-hitter with five strikeouts and two walks on Wednesday, as he helped the Dodgers claim a 6-4 victory over visitingColorado.

Kemp (three hits) added his 17th homer, a three-run blast in the first, while the Dodgers tacked on a run in the fifth and two in the sixth as Ramirez, Mark Ellis and Victorino (three hits and three runs) all added a run batted in.

Josh Rutledge had four hits (three doubles) and three RBIs for theRockies, who downed the Dodgers 3-1 on Tuesday.

Drew Pomeranz worked four innings and three relievers went five on Monday for theRockies, who shut out the Dodgers 2-0.

Victorino (two hits) and Mark Ellis each singled in the first, but were stranded by Pomeranz, who struck out seven with three walks and three hits.
