The Troubador Theater Company marks its 10th year performing at The Falcon Theatre with this holiday season’s run of “Frosty the Snowmanilow,” melting the hearts of one and all. Garry Marshall took the stage on opening night, following the upbeat show, to proudly present 10 gold plaques for the first row orchestra seats—to honor the Troubadors’ dedication, talent and showmanship (or should I say snowmanship!)
“Fan-i-lows,” new and old, will truly appreciate this brand new musical theater extravaganza, with fave love songs by the esteemed crooner such as “Could it be Magic,” “Can’t Smile Without You” and “Somewhere in the Night.”
Warmth, love and laughter are in the chilly, frost-bitten air, as this group of actors, comedians and musicians clown, mime, sing and dance with hilarious lyrics and original sketch material.
Cleverly juxtaposed, almost as a ‘commercial break,’ within the show, the Troubies and colorful Popsicle quartet do a medley of ad jingles, written by Barry, introduced by the number, “I Write the Songs.”
Familiar catchy tunes for products ranging from McDonalds to Coke, to Budweiser, Band-Aid and State Farm, lend a nostalgic touch.
What a special tribute this evening was for Marshall, the Falcon Theatre and the Troubadors, as they continue dedicating their lives to making people laugh, smile and sing.
“Looks like They Made it” into the hearts of their fans and will soon be seen in the feature film, “Valentine’s Day,” in theaters this February.

“Frosty the Snowmanilow” plays at The Falcon Theatre (4252 Riverside Dr., Burbank, CA) now through January 17th (Wed-Fri at 8pm, Sat at 4pm and 8pm, Sun at 4pm and 7pm). For more information, call (818) 955-8101.
