The combined drama, instrumental and vocal departments of John Burroughs High School are presenting one of the all time favorite Broadway musicals, A Chorus Line, for the community’s enjoyment. This is the third year that the three departments have united to revive what is a tradition, at JBHS, of presenting high caliber musical theatre productions.

A Chorus Line is the 1976 Pulitzer Prize winning musical set on the bare stage of a Broadway theatre during an intense dance call for a new show where the audience gets a behind the scenes look at the audition process. A coming of age story, the characters ultimately share the events that have shaped their lives and led them to pursue their passions and dreams on the Broadway stage. It boasts some of the most memorable Broadway songs, such as “What I Did for Love” and “One.” The production is under the combined direction of teachers Guy Meyers (drama), Tana Barnett (instrumental) and Brendan Jennings (vocal).

Performances are Friday, May 13, and Saturday, May 14, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 15, at 2 p.m. in the John Burroughs Auditorium located at 1920 W. Clark Ave. in Burbank.

General Admission to A Chorus Line is $15 for adults, $10 for students/faculty/seniors. Priority seating is $20 and allows ticket holder entrance to the auditorium 15 minutes before other guests.
