Rain and Burn the Floor, Song and Dance Shows at the Pantages Theatre

The Fab Four in “Rain.”

As mesmerizing as water and fire, there are two shows making a quick appearance at the historic Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. The first is Rain, April 12 to 17, which is a Beatles tribute concert full of their wonderful songs. Following Rain is the fiery dance show Burn the Floor, April 26 to May 8.

I saw the critically acclaimed engagement of Rain in 2009, which sold out. It was like turning into a teenybopper again, and reliving the thrill of seeing The Beatles for the first time on the Ed Sullivan Show. But Rain goes beyond the early “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” days. The band members are skilled performers who give the audience a ticket to ride with The Beatles throughout their careers, as they changed and their music matured.

The “fab four” band members include Joey Curatolo (vocals, bass, guitar, piano), Joe Bithorn (vocals, lead guitar, guitar synthesizer), Steve Landes (vocals, guitar, piano, harmonica), and Southern California native Ralph Castelli (on percussion and vocals). They sing and play, note for note recreating the Beatlemania magic.

For everyone who loves Dancing with the Stars, the international ballroom stage show sensation Burn the Floor is coming. The exhilarating show is described as “ballroom reinvented,” with super charged performances by 20 passionate dance professionals. Among them are Anya Garnis and Pasha Kovalev, Season Three finalists on So You Think You Can Dance, who will be featured in the must-see Pantages engagement.
