The 2010 Golden Score Awards, Hosted By Rob Reiner

On July 22nd, 2010, beloved filmmaker Rob Reiner will host the annual Golden Score Awards at the Universal Hilton Hotel in Universal City. It is presented by The American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers, and will honor multi-talented award winning film, television and theatrical composer Marc Shaiman, and prolific arranger and conducter Sammy Nestico. Performing will be actress/singer/comedienne Jenifer Lewis, singer and actor Sam Harris, and Hairspray stars Bruce Vilanch and Marissa Jaret Winokur.
Shaiman will receive the 2010 Golden Score Award, and Nestico will get the Lifetime Achievement in Arranging award. Marc Shaiman is best known for the musical Hairspray but has worked extensively with both Bette Midler, and Billy Crystal and composed music for such films as When Harry Met Sally, Beaches, Sleepless in Seattle, and The Bucket List. “Nestico has arranged and conducted for a vast array of talent, including Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Phil Collins, and Bing Crosby, to name a few.
The evening begins with cocktails and silent auction at 6pm, followed by dinner at 7:15 and awards and entertainment. The evening will include personal, video and musical tributes by special guests.
