OlivA in Sherman Oaks is a trattoria, a pizzeria, and an Italian grill — and definitely a cut above the rest. Los Angeles Magazine called it “the best Italian cuisine in Los Angeles” explaining that “the food is tasty and authentic, the atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable.” Mangia, mangia!
Classy and charming, the family-owned OlivA is located near Ventura Blvd. and Van Nuys Blvd., and serves lunch and dinner with a full bar.
Delectable dishes include De-Boned Half Chicken, Barbequed Tuscan Style; Seared and Sliced New York Steak Over Arugula Salad and Shaved Parmesan Cheese; Thin Pounded Veal with Wild Mushrooms and Marsala Wine Sauce; Shrimp, Calamari, Mussels, and Clams in a Spicy Tomato, Garlic Sauce; Penne with Chicken Sausage, Roasted Pine Nuts, and Sun-Dried Tomatoes in a Red Sauce; and Home-Style Ravioli Filled with Ricotta and Spinach in a Creamy Saffron Sage Sauce, just to name a few.
“Save room for desert,” a Los Angeles Times reviewer wrote, “because the Tiramisu is the creamiest you’ll ever taste outside of Italy, and sorbets are perfection!”
OlivA can accommodate special events or private parties and is open every day. Hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. until nightly closing. Curbside pick-up is available and they cater and deliver.
