Christian Education with a Legacy Built on the Love of Learning
By Sonny Southworth
Every parent wants their child to be happy and thriving at school. Have you had enough of huge classes, stressed, impersonal teachers and overwhelming homework load? How about an affordable, traditional school setting, with relevant and challenging curriculum in a warm family atmosphere? Laurel Hall has been providing such an environment for 65 years. Come celebrate our legacy with us.
Pastor Schoenrock explains: “For over 65 years, our mission has been ‘Welcoming all people, Emmanuel Lutheran Church and schools love, teach and serve through Christ.’” Emmanuel’s ministry is focused on nurturing families in the Christian faith.
Laurel Hall Athletics and PE programs combine learning and enjoyment, providing an environment that allows children to engage in a variety of activities ensuring that they have the opportunity to achieve success. These programs not only teach skills, sportsmanship, cooperation and leadership but also help to build confidence.
Our Fine Arts Program exposes students to many musical styles and genres, learning note and rhythm reading. Instrumental opportunities begin in third grade when students learn the recorder. Grades 4-8 may participate in Band, Strings, Handbells or Guitar.
They have the additional opportunity of Drama, Dance or Glee.
Our Musicals are full-scale theatrical productions frequently compared to the best high school productions. Our Fine Arts faculty includes veterans of Broadway stage and network television.
Laurel Hall School and Early Childhood Center operates under Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) and are accredited by Evangelical Lutheran Education Association (ELEA) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
