The stars are shining brightly at St. Paul’s First Lutheran School and Preschool in North Hollywood! Over 175 shining and glimmering youngsters are enjoying the first days of school at St. Paul’s. Many students, teachers and programs are glowing magnificently:
Eighth grade student, Sheena, is an Accelerated Reader Star who read over 50 literature books in the summer reading program!
Junior High students Enike, Ethan, Kevyn, Stuart, Alexander and Jared are tackling advanced mathematics in the Algebra I course.
Thirteen returning students are striving to repeat the honor of a Christian Citizenship gold medal award this year.
Track stars Carley and Omar will strive to repeat their three First Place blue ribbon performances in the 50, 75 and 100 meter dashes at the annual Lutheran schools track meet.
Music Director Kurt Cereske, Musicianship Director of the National Children’s Chorus, will continue the outstanding St. Paul’s music program and its choirs, instrumental bands, handbell choirs and instructional music for preschool to grade 8.
During the summer, instructor Barbara Hartel leads the popular Sizzling Summer Program for nine weeks providing an adventurous summer for students in Kindergarten to 6th grade.
St. Paul’s Computer Lab is shining ever brightly with the installation of 25 new flat screen monitors. Soon to come with the screens are 25 new computers to be funded by proceeds from the annual St. Paul’s Fall Festival to be held this year on October 15.
