The Wesley School is growing up! After twelve years of developing a solid reputation as a strong kindergarten through 8th grade independent school in the Valley, The Wesley School has successfully launched its second kindergarten class. As a school known for its strong academics, engaging arts programs and myriad leadership opportunities, it was time to expand just enough to continue to broaden its offerings.
There have always been two classes per grade in Wesley’s middle school program, and with the addition of a second kindergarten this year, the school will grow one class per grade for the next five years until there are two sections per grade all the way from kindergarten through 8th grade. This slow but steady expansion will allow the school to offer even greater enrichment opportunities for its students while maintaining the intimacy it enjoys because of its small size. By growing modestly, the school is looking to enhance the curriculum without losing the incredible sense of community it is known for.
Wesley students are remarkably well prepared for the finest high schools in Los Angeles. The 8th grade students consistently receive acceptance to their first or second choice high school and report back that their transition is smooth because of the foundation they received in their elementary and middle school years at Wesley.
Visit the school during an open house event, take a tour, walk through the classrooms, the art studio and the science lab, and observe teachers and children happily engaged in learning. You’ll come away wishing you could go back to school!
