The Wesley School Offers Oasis of Comprehensive Education

Kindergarteners visiting Tree People on a fieldtrip.

Friendly. Small. Inviting. Yes, you’re still in Los Angeles, but it doesn’t feel that way. You’ve discovered The Wesley School, a non-profit, independent day school for grades kindergarten through eight. The school is located on a beautiful, four-acre campus in North Hollywood, just west of Toluca Lake.

At The Wesley School, the joy of learning is palpable. Our students discover and excel in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. Foreign languages, art, music, computers, drama, ethics, speech, and physical education are also included for a comprehensive education. In each area, students receive individual attention to ensure every child’s abilities are recognized and developed.

At Wesley, it’s not just about the academics. Our goal is to develop good citizens as well as strong students. That’s why, in addition to scholastic excellence, our program includes community service and character and spiritual development. Everyone participates in service learning projects such as visiting the elderly, campus recycling, and collecting food for local food banks.

Students are encouraged to take on leadership roles beginning as early as kindergarten. The outcome is that children develop confidence, the ability to think independently, and the skill of public speaking.

One measure of our success is our outstanding high school placement into the best Los Angeles area high schools. We take great pride in the time we give our students in order to find the right match for the next leg of their educational journey.

Come to one of our many open houses; take a tour, visit the classrooms, the art studio, and the science lab and observe teachers and children happily engaged in learning. Stay as long as you’d like. After you experience it, there’s no mystery.
