As I settled in to talk with the students at Body & Brain, I couldn’t help but notice the calm energy in the air. It was contagious; crisp, clear, clean, and peaceful.

Dolores made a special Korean Tea while Angela and I took our place across from one another on our mats. I began taking notes as she spoke of her experience with Fatima, Headmaster & Owner of Body & Brain, and this healing energy work called Holistic Dahn Yoga.

Angela, salon owner of O.C. Skin Secrets in Toluca Lake, has experienced improvements in skin tone, weight loss, as well as an increase in energy. She also participates in workshops that she describes as “Nutrition for your soul, an emotional detox.”

Prior to practicing Holistic Wellness & Yoga, Dolores (a student of three years) said her stress level was out of control. As she became more grounded, she noticed improvements in personal relationships and her physical health.

“As the body becomes healthier from the physical movements, and the soul begins to heal, they come into harmony with one another. This is like an energy dance.”

Fatima, through her work as trainer and spiritual guide, is dedicated to helping the beauty inside each of us to bloom. “In our society, women are conditioned to look for beauty on the outside. This practice is about dispelling negative beliefs about yourself and discovering the beauty inside of you. When you discover and appreciate your own value, you allow the beauty of your soul, heart, and mind to emerge and blossom. This inner beauty is precious and everlasting. Once we open to our inner beauty, we can also help open the inner beauty of others. In this way, we can create a beautiful and wonderful world.”
