When Mad Men set decorator Amy Wells, Emmy nominated for her work on the show, is looking for great furnishings for all kinds of interiors from modern chic to more traditional suburban, she depends on the award winning Pasadena Antique Center & Annex for a great selection. “Pasadena has the crème de la crème of used furniture stores on this part of the planet,” Wells told the Los Angeles Times recently. She went on to say that The Center is a must-stop for vintage furnishings and accessories. “They have everything from Victorian to Art Deco, Hollywood Regency and Palm Springs modern.”
The two–story complex is the longest running and largest antique business in the area located at 444 and 480 S. Fair Oaks Ave. in over 33,000 square feet and featuring more than 130 dealer booths.
Wells went on to mention some of her favorite Center vendors for The Times including Now/Again for ornate furniture and Vintage! Vintage! Vintage! for midcentury modern. Wells is a particular fan of baroque and neoclassical antiques, art deco, and lamps and has found much to love at The Center.
Whether you’re searching for holiday gifts, dishes, glasses, framed artwork, old board games, oriental rugs, clocks, pottery, chandeliers and lighting, a dining table, Mission furniture or that perfect chair, The Pasadena Antique Center & Annex will not disappoint.
The Center is open daily 10a—6p with free parking. For more information, call (626) 449-7706 or visit pasadenaantiquecenter.com.
