In the seventh, Bobby Abreu walked with the bases loaded for the Dodgers (32-15), who led 3-1, and Tony Gwynn Jr.’s run-scoring single and Jerry Hairston Jr.’s run-producing hit in the eighth inning made it a four-run lead. Hairston had five hits including a double with a run scored.

Ethier (two hits with a run) drove in his 41st run with a double in the third inning, and Gwynn added a two-run single an inning later.

J. D. Martinez drove in two runs, scored a run and collected two hits with a homer as the Astros held on for a 3-1 victory on Friday.

Clayton Kershaw (4-2) absorbed the loss after allowing five hits, three runs (two earned) with six strikeouts and three walks in seven innings.

Justin Upton lined a two-run home run and Willie Bloomquist produced three hits with a run batted in and three runs for hostArizonaon Wednesday as the Dodgers were trounced 11-4.

The Diamondbacks pulled ahead 5-0 after three innings, led 8-1 through four innings, and tallied three runs in the fifth.

Ted Lilly (5-1) was pushed around for eight runs (earned) and nine hits in three and one-third innings.

Gwynn had three hits with two RBIs and two runs, Dee Gordon two hits with a run, but Ivan De Jesus Jr.’s three-run double in a five-run seventh propelled the Dodgers past the Diamondbacks 8-7 on Tuesday.

Capuano hadArizonaeating out of his hand on Monday as he limited the Diamondbacks to four hits and one run (earned) with five strikeouts and one walk in six frames as the Blue Crew coasted to a 6-1 drubbing.

Ethier singled and homered, Treanor mashed a two-run shot in the second inning, and pinch hitter Loney clouted a two-run bomb in a three-run eighth.
