Don Fraser, an icon in the boxing world, and for most of his life a resident of Toluca Lake, has honored many champion boxers and well known icons in the boxing world at the Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City for many years.

Saturday, October 20 will be Fraser’s last class of inductees of 2018. Among many icons in the boxing world, Jimmy Lennon Jr. will be the recipient of the Don Fraser Lifetime Achievement Award. It will be a historical event with Fraser’s legacy and his wonderful birth family and boxing family.

The event will take place in the grand ballroom filled with many boxing icons and celebrities, including James Darren. The lunchtime event will also include a slideshow of Fraser’s boxing career.

Fraser is a recipient of many awards, including the International Boxing Hall of Fame, National Boxing Hall of Fame, World Boxing Hall of Fame and more. Fraser’s history goes back to the days of the Olympic Auditorium with fellow promoter Aileen Eaton. Fraser was also a trainer, cornerman, manager and even got into the ring for five fights—but not his calling, as he lost them all. But his talent as a boxing promoter and writer embraced the boxing world and now Fraser is being embraced as his legacy will always be remembered.
