Ever hear of Pickleball?
It’s a sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong…and it’s a blast.
People of all ages and levels of athletic ability can play Pickleball.
It is played with a paddle and hard plastic ball on a badminton sized court (about one-third the size of a tennis court) both indoors and outdoors; doubles or singles.
The great thing is, it only takes about 30 minutes to learn and enjoy.
The Burbank Pickleball Club plays at Olive Recreation Center (indoor) at Izay Park Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am-12 noon and Burbank Tennis Center (outdoor) Monday-Friday from 9am-12:00 noon; Saturdays from 5pm-8pm. Beginner level instruction is given on Wednesdays from 9am-10am at the Olive location. Fees: Burbank residents $1; non-residents $2.
