The end of an era

It is with much sadness that I must soon close my vintage clothing store of well over 30 years.

Hubba Hubba! on Magnolia Blvd. in Burbank has been a rewarding journey for me….both in financial gain and non-stop fun! I am stuck at home in my P.J.’s dealing with this dreadful fibromyalgia and am not able to work at the shop anymore. I will close the doors soon forever…probably mid-December.

Until I sadly close the doors, ALL clothing, gloves, shoes and purses are on sale at 20 percent off. Unfortunately, the hours and the days open are “hit and miss” depending on who can come in to work for me. There are plenty of great items left from the 1930s to the 1960s, for both men and women. Also, you’ll find a treasure trove of classic vintage costume jewelry — not ON SALE – but very reasonable. Great idea for one-of a-kind holiday gifts!

My heart aches…I will miss being there more than you could imagine! I feel blessed to have had over 30 years of “joy on the job!” Do come in and check it out before we must close the doors forever.

Mannequins (both male and female) are for sale too…but they have no arms! I always liked the futuristic way they looked that way…but now I can’t find their arms anywhere! $60 each “as is” with their stands.

My daughter and a friend have been opening for me two or three days a week, depending on who is available. I post days open each week on the door, as soon as I know myself. If you see the $10 sale rack out front – we are open (after 1pm)!

Many thanks to the eclectic and loyal Hubba! customers and those who have shared in my vintage vision through the years. It has been a blessing going to a job for decades that was so rewarding and successful! Do stop in and bring your vintage-loving friends…

Footnote: The store is already rented to a savvy and very nice man who owns a successful vintage store in Long Beach. I hope he enjoys the Burbank scene as much as I did!
