A book signing with author, reception and a tribute to over 30 years of Jeremiah Comey and his work in Hollywood, as an actor, writer, director and teacher, working in feature films, television sitcoms, soaps, commercials and theatre will be July 9th at Samuel French Book Store (11963 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, CA).
His book The Art Of Film Acting has been described as the Bible of film acting. It not only delineates the difference between stage and film, it guides you in a step-by-step approach to working in front of the camera. Those who visit the book signing will receive the opportunity to audit a class to check out Jeremiah’s method.
Jeremiah’s unique approach deals exclusively with film acting. He personally selects your partner and material for each class. His unique approach allows you to read a scene once, and immediately give a performance that looks professional.
Jeremiah has taught acting and directing classes to hundreds of students around the world in such diverse locations as New Zealand and Singapore, and at the New York Film Academy, American Film Institute, UCLA and Los Angeles City College.
Students of Jeremiah have included: Billy Zane, Jackson Rathbone (Twilight), Austin Butler, Kayla Ewell, Mehcad Brooks, Jerad Anderson, Lindsey Shaw, Zahn McClaron, Brett Claywell, Judy Baldwin, Joy Rinaldi (former student, now Associate Instructor), and numerous others.
Jeremiah coaches at the Jeremiah Comey Film Acting Studio, Studio City. For information on classes or renting studio space, contact Ken Basham, Studio Manager (818) 939-4253. firstname.lastname@example.org.
