CART Presents A Good House for a Killing


Leslie Easterbrook stars in CART’s “A Good House for a Killing.”

This Saturday there will be an added Saturday night performance at 7:30 along with the usual 1:30 matinee, for the California Artists Radio Theatre, with the Western musical A Good House for a Killing! The book and lyrics originally were created for theatre productions by comedian Marvin Kaplan; he has now adapted his script for radio. The music director for the show and composer for many of the songs is Scott Martin. The late Richard Loring contributed many of the original songs, which have been augmented with new songs for this production by Martin. The show will be recorded for later broadcast and CD sale. The large cast is the core company for CART that has produced programs at the Garland Holiday Inn since 1999 at the invitation of Beverly Garland. She was a member of the company’s Repertory Theatre. Leslie Easterbrook, Linda Henning and Marvin Kaplan, Phil Proctor, Tom Williams, Paul Keith, Bob Legionaire, Richard Herd, Diane Mercer, Annie Gagen, Tommy Cook, Joe Flood, John Harlan and John R. Lee make up the cast. H.M. Wynant is the narrator.
