Senior Comedy Afternoons is going over the hill for its premiere show in the San Fernando Valley with NBC’s weatherman/stand-up comic Fritz Coleman as emcee at Flappers Comedy Club on February 13. It will be a love fest for many seniors that watch him day after day in their living rooms and feel like he’s part of the family. Our holiday show is entitled “Love and Laughter.” The show also features octogenarian comic Jack Rothman, the inimitable funny woman Diane Nichols and headliner Marty Ross aka the “Wrinkled Rebel.” Producer Bonnie Barchichat says, “This show is going to be one of our funniest shows ever!”
The show is appropriate for any senior wanting to laugh at themselves and at the foibles of growing older in a most positive light. The “All Seniors Comics” believe in giving seniors their positive perspective on “active aging.” So caregivers, granddaughters, grandsons, husbands and wives, pick up the phone and make a reservation at Flappers for an afternoon of comedy and lunch they’ll be talking about ‘til you take ‘em to the next show! Because as the saying goes, “laughter is the best medicine.”
Tickets are $37.50 each, which includes lunch, tax and a tip. Flappers Comedy Club is located at 102 E. Magnolia Blvd in Burbank. For reservations, call Flappers at (818) 845-9721 or Senior Comedy Afternoons at (714) 914-2565. Give the gift of laughter to a senior you love this Valentine’s. We can all use a chuckle!
