Classical pianist Jeremy Weinglass presents his original work, Odyssey, a classical music tour de force that takes audiences on a revolutionary journey through each of the 12 months of the year. Combining music and contemporary dance, the performance takes place at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood on Friday, January 14 at 7:00 p.m. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles.
“This is a dream come true,” said Weinglass. “Odyssey is a labor of love and deep meaning I’ve been creating for the past 10 years. It’s evolving so organically it’s like watching a child grow or a flower bloom. I’m overwhelmed by the support of such a talented ensemble and thrilled to be able to give back to the organization that had such a profound impact on my life.”
Odyssey is an enlightening voyage through time in search of truth and love. All musicians and dancers are featured performers (Weinglass and violinist Chris Woods have their own lights), journeying together through emotions and situations, from January to December; each month having its own personality.
There are three ticket options: VIP tickets are $75 which include drinks, hors d’oeuvres compliments of Good Gracious! Events and a “meet the cast” after party; standard tickets are $30; sides and rear are $20. A fundamental part of Jeremy Weinglass’ purpose is to inspire young people to think big, pursue their own creative potential and make their dreams a reality.
