With only three “Sizzling Sundays at 7 pm” remaining (February 14, 21 & 28) in the limited engagement of “M.O.I.S.T.!” at The Hayworth Theatre, writers/ producers/performers Iona Morris and Mariann Aalda have added a very special Thursday, February 18 performance with all proceeds going to The Actors Fund. Beginning at 8 pm, the show will be introduced by special guest Frances Fisher and includes a champagne and dessert reception afterwards in its $25 ticket price. There will be no discount tickets for this event.
Founded in 1882, The Actors Fund provides financial, social and health services to entertainment industry professionals both in front of and behind the camera. With so many world crises vying for donations at a time when corporations are cutting back on charitable contributions, Aalda and Morris, and co-producer Dominic Oliver, felt it was important that the needs of the entertainment community not be overlooked.
In her coverage of the show, The Tolucan Times reviewer, Bonnie Priever had this to say: “’M.O.I.S.T.!’ takes off where “Sex and the City” began… this show is sure to seduce and whet one’s appetite for what promises to be an evening of pleasure—before, during and after the play!” Anyone also looking for a fun way to celebrate Valentine’s Day might do well to take heed.
The Hayworth Theatre is located at 2511 Wilshire Blvd, near downtown Los Angeles, 90057. Tickets are $25 with discounts available for the Feb 14, 21 & 28 performances ($15 for groups of 10 or more and $20 for ages 60 and over).
