By the staff of St. Genevieve High School
“WE’VE GOT SPIRIT, YES WE DO…WE’VE GOT SPIRIT, HOW ‘BOUT YOU?!?!”
At St. Genevieve High School in Panorama City, spirit isn’t just a word that gets thrown around to describe an athletic atmosphere; the Valiant Spirit is a feeling you get when you walk on campus. Students greet you, faculty members ask if they can help you and smiles abound in every direction.
St. Genevieve is a private, co-ed, Catholic high school located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley. In 2003, SGHS became the first Catholic school in the nation and the first high school in California to receive the prestigious National School of Character designation by the Washington DC-based Character Education Partnership. Each year the school hosts guest speakers from all walks of life, including mayors, prominent business leaders and even former president of the United States, Jimmy Carter.
