Levitt Pavilion Pasadena’s 10th Anniversary of 50 Free Music Festival continues through August 26. July 11–15 features Kiddle Karoo’s silly monster band on Wednesday, the bluesy funk of Allensworth on Thursday, the Afro-Colombian/punk and jazz, rhythms of M.A.K.U. SoundSystem on Friday, the Virginia based Thao and the Get Down Stay Down on Saturday, and on Sunday Dublab presents: Tribe Records 40th Anniversary Celebration with the Phil Ranelin Jazz Ensemble, and special guests DJ sets by Carlos Niño.
Concerts are offered free of charge on lush lawns with open seating. Children’s Wednesday night’s festival begins at 5 p.m. and music begins at 7 p.m.; Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night’s festival begins at 6 p.m./music begins at 8 p.m.; Sunday night’s festival begins at 5 p.m./music begins at 7 p.m. The pavilion is an outdoor park venue, located at Memorial Park on Raymond Avenuebetween Walnut and Holly in Old Pasadena, with picnic style seating. All concerts are FREE and open to the public. There will be a food court each night presented by Chefs Center of California, featuring artisanal foods from local, independent food-based businesses. There will also be a variety of vendors, nonprofit partner booths, pre-concert performances, and other activities. Concertgoers are also welcome to bring their own food.
