Another memorable Cal Phil summer ends with a spectacular season finale, Les Miz and Bernstein, during Festival on the Green at Santa Anita Race Track on Saturday, Aug. 24.

Concluding the 2013 series, presented by Westfield Santa Anita, the concert features special guest singers Randal Keith and Melissa Lyons Caldretti, stars of Les Miserables on Broadway and the National Tour. The Cal Phil Chorale also joins in an inspired selection of highlights from Les Miz along with songs from Leonard Bernstein’s Broadway classics Candide and Wonderful Town. Also on the bill, the orchestral Symphonic Dances from West Side Story.

Festival on the Green audience members, who renew subscriptions for next year or purchase new ones during the finale, enter a drawing to win $500 off their order.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for pre-concert dining, plus live jazz, a host of pre-concert family friendly activities including pony rides, face painting, and a Musical Instrument Petting Zoo. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. Table and lawn seating are available.

Cal Phil performs Sunday matinees of the same concert at the incomparable Walt Disney Concert Hall. Celebrating its 10th anniversary at Los Angeles’ premier music venue, Cal Phil at Walt Disney Concert Hall Sunday performances start at 2 p.m., with the popular pre-concert Talks with the Maestro beginning at 1 p.m.
