The 22nd Annual Pasadena Chalk Festival, named “The World’s Largest Street Painting Festival” by Guinness World Record™ in 2010, and viewed by over 100,000 visitors, will take place over Father’s Day weekend, Saturday and Sunday, June 14 & 15, from 10am-7pm at Paseo Colorado located at 280 E. Colorado Blvd, Pasadena Ca, 91101.
Watch over 600 artists create beautiful murals covering the concrete at Paseo Colorado using over 25,000 sticks of chalk throughout the two day event.
The Pasadena Chalk Festival benefits the community arts programs of the “Light Bringer Project” (www.lightbringerproject.com), a Pasadena-based, non-profit arts organization founded by local residents who were interested in the role the arts, architecture and design played in the growth and development of their community.
The free event will have live musical entertainment, delicious food, and hours of enjoyment for all ages. Special features include Kids Chalkland, an area where kids can make Father’s Day cards; Chalk of Fame, with murals of your favorite movies; an Art Gallery, Silent Auction, and more!
Plus, join the fun at the Pasadena Police Department’s Classic Car Show featuring over 100 classic cars located on Green St., adjacent to the chalk festival, on Sunday, June 15th from 10am-3pm.
