The Sherman Oaks Women’s Club Lost Its Beloved Centenarian

Edith Hooper.

Edith Hooper pass-ed on peacefully on Dec. 25th in her 107th year. She was recovering from a short stay in the hospital and was waiting to be returned to her living residence. She had been in attendance at the December meeting where the club had the McLeod Scottish dancers entertain for the holidays to the enjoyment of all. Edith never lost her quick wit and sense of humor or her remarkable memory and enthusiasm for living. She was proud of news articles written about her throughout her last seven years. Her service was held at the North Hollywood First united Methodist Church. Reverend Dalton Pickering officiated.
