Since Aug. 31 and continuing, the Treasurer and Tax Collector will be mailing out notices to taxpayers with taxes remaining unpaid for year 2011-12 and prior. Unpaid prior year property taxes are subject to additional penalties at the rate of 1.5% per month and if not paid, the delinquency could ultimately result in the sale of the property at a public auction. Any taxpayers wishing to discuss the receipt of the tax bill and notice or needing additional assistance may call the Proptax line at (888) 807-2111.
