The Importance of Cooperation
By Rev Pam
Cooperation is a choice, an attitude of respect shown to others with the inclusion of individual rights. Cooperation is the willingness to listen creatively to one another’s views while remaining encouraging and supportive, rather than defensive and competitive.
When we shift consciousness from revenge to forgiveness, from blame to responsibility, and from problems to opportunities, we create cooperative communities and make vital and worthwhile contributions to the betterment of the whole — the whole community, the whole world, and the whole universe.
Do you cooperate with the still small voice of Spirit as it attempts to guide and direct you? Is the outer you in cooperation with the inner you? Like peace, cooperation starts within.
Cooperation is an environmental energy, a usable power, with a very strong and healthy pulse. Let’s utilize this power that is such a vital and vigorous energy. We can create a healthy world by living in harmony, peace, and cooperation — the fundamental elements of a healthy family, business, organization, and community.
Ernest Holmes, the founder of The Science of Mind, said, “From now on we shall expand, grow, and express only to the degree that we consciously cooperate with the Whole.”
Remember that we each impact the other in some way and the whole in all ways. Together, as a whole cooperative force, we will fulfill our mission: making the world a better place spirit to spirit.
