Valley View Elementary Spring Fling: Family Fun for a Good Cause – Sunday, April 21
An old-fashioned cake walk, game booths, face-painting, gypsy fortune-telling, inflatable slides and obstacle courses, and more will keep your family smiling all afternoon at the Valley View Elementary SPRING FLING!
Be entertained by Hip Hop and Jazz dancing, Kung Fu and Jiu Jitsu athletic performances, Folkloric and Irish dancers, the comedy stylings of Michael Raynor, plus student performances including Drama Maniacs’ crazy antics, Kindergarten dancers, and upper grade original song performances. Nosh on pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches, hot dogs and veggie dogs, sno-cones, and baked goods. Find some unique handmade craft items. Enter the 50/50 raffle to win some big bucks!
THIS SUNDAY, April 21, from noon to 4 p.m., come to NORTH WEDDINGTON PARK at 10844 Acama St., off Lankershim Boulevard, for some family fun! Parking is available in the Rec Center parking lot or street parking on Acama Street and Valley Spring Lane. Admission is FREE. Entertainment is FREE. Money raised supports Valley View Elementary – since 1917, the hidden gem of LAUSD, with enrollment of only 250 children (K-6). Located in the Hollywood Hills, Valley View boasts a dedicated teaching staff and PTA, a culturally diverse population, and an 800+ Academic Performance Index (API) score. Funds raised support library services, teaching assistants, computer lab, field trips, science enrichment, and interactive assemblies.
