It’s official! This marks the beginning of The Wesley School’s 20th year. Wesley has come a long way from its previous iteration, St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal School (now the location for one of the Sunnyside Preschool campuses). In 1999, after the closure of St. Michael’s, the school found its new home and moved to the campus of the First United Methodist Church/ North Hollywood (FUMC). The first year 128 students enrolled for the 1999-2000 academic year, with 21 faculty and staff supporting them.

Today, Wesley is at capacity with 317 students and 67 faculty/staff. The financial security of the school is intact, the campus is completely renovated (new construction has provided additional space following the School’s first ever Capital Campaign) and the new turf and outdoor education improvements are palpable. Additionally, Wesley is proud to have a robust financial aid budget and an increasingly diverse student, faculty and staff population. The curriculum has evolved into a much more child-centered experience, moving away from its very traditional beginnings.

Step onto our campus and see for yourself! We know you’ll walk away with a feeling that cannot be replicated as you witness, first-hand, Academic Excellence and Character Development Within the Circle of Family. Come to Wesley, and you won’t be able to help but think that where you’ve actually come is home.

Please join us in celebrating our 20th year – Happy Birthday Wesley!
