With summer around the corner, it’s time for parents to once again choose the perfect enriching day camp experience for their children.
Performing Arts Workshops (PAW), winner of “Best Summer Camp” in LA Parent Magazine, offers exactly that. Their camp programs include Musical Theater, Filmmaking, Rock The Mic, Stage FX Makeup, Magic, Camp LOL, Photography, Guitar and WOW – a debate camp for kids. It’s the ultimate arts experience for kids ages 5-15.
“Our kids don’t need to be experts – just have a curiosity and love for performing,” says Cheryl Appleman, PAW President. “In each session campers participate in a creative performance which is free and attended by their family and friends.”
This year, PAW’s Musical Theater kids will perform Hip-Hop Hamilton, Finding The Wizard of Oz, Aladdin, Greatest Show On Earth and Cinderella. In Filmmaking Camp, young playwrights and filmmakers will write, direct, film, act in and edit their own short movie. In Rock The Mic, kids will be immersed in the finer points of the recording artist’s craft as they experience different styles of singing and learn what it truly means to produce a song.
PAW teachers are nurturing, skilled instructors who have or are working towards their Bachelors or Masters degrees in their respective disciplines. Their teaching experience and knowledge, combined with the PAW philosophy, provides students with a level of training comparable to private studios and conservatories.
With nine Summer Camp locations to choose from, PAW is local to children near Studio City, Pasadena, Northridge as well as Brentwood, West L.A. and the beach cities.
