Established in 1952, Columbia College Hollywood is an accredited college offering Bachelor of Fine Arts and Associate of Fine Arts degrees in Cinema and Television Production. Students obtain hands-on training in the areas of Directing, Cinematography, Producing, Screenwriting, and Editing and Visual Effects, and most classes have a typical student-teacher ratio of 8:1 to provide students with personalized attention. The College emphasizes and assists students in getting jobs and internships with major film studios such as Fox, Paramount, and Disney, and with various television and new media entities. CCH alumni have worked in all areas of the entertainment industry – on hit television shows such as CSI, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Voice, Criminal Minds, and So You Think You Can Dance, and on blockbuster films such as Avatar, Spiderman, The Hunger Games, Mission: Impossible, Transformers 3, Twilight: Eclipse, and the upcoming Avatar 2, to name a few.

“The whole educational and professional training system is a very elaborate filter, which just weeds out people who are too independent, and who think for themselves, and who don’t know how to be submissive, and so on — because they’re dysfunctional to the institutions.”

- Noam Chomsky

The 85,000 square foot campus features separate film and television soundstages, two theatres, permanent sets, digital classrooms, editing suites, a casting room, and many shooting-friendly areas available for student productions. Unleashing student potential is the principal goal at CCH. Learning filmmaking as a true language of expression takes time, patience, a rich and encouraging environment, and the freedom to experiment and take risks. Columbia College Hollywood offers all that – and more.

Join CCH for a CCH Experience Day/Open House on Saturday, Sept. 28, Saturday, Oct. 26, or Saturday, Nov. 23, beginning at 11 a.m. For more information, please contact us at (818) 401-1294 or visit columbiacollege.edu. Columbia College Hollywood is located at 18618 Oxnard St. in Tarzana.
