For the first time ever, two popular, family-friendly Halloween events can be visited in one location in Griffith Park: Ghost Train and Boney Island. Each show will have its own separate entrance, schedule and tickets.
The Ghost Train adventure starts at the Haunted Station at LA Live Steamers where guests will board a 1/8th scale train for a 23-minute ride into a spell-binding world of fire-breathing dragons, Frankenstein’s Castle, ghostly graveyards, giant spiders and roaring dinosaurs, all professionally created with life-sized characters, projected images, animatronics, sound, fire, fog and theatrical lighting. Beyond the towering railroad bridge encounter the magical world of Boney Island: animated skeletons, a dazzling water-music-light show and wacky side shows.
Created for all ages, these two unique, Halloween events provide thrills, chills and spooky fun—no actors will jump out and touch guests; there will be no blood or gore.
Ghost Train is produced by LA Live Steamers Railroad Museum, and is their annual fundraiser. Boney Island is a separate, walk-through show, located at the west end of LA Live Steamers, near the Travel Town fence. For more info visit BoneyIsland.com.
Ghost Train will run for 10 nights from 7pm to 10pm, starting Saturday, October 13 and continuing Sunday, October 14; Fri., Sat., Sun., October 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28; and Tues. and Wed., October 30 and 31. Ghost Train riders must be at least 34” tall and weigh under 350 pounds. Parking is free, but limited; ride-sharing is recommended.
This year, due to popular demand, Ghost Train is offering two online ticket purchase options at lalsrm-ghosttrain2018.event-brite.com – Express Tickets ($30) and Advance Purchase Tickets ($25). Quantities are limited. General Admission Tickets ($20) will be available for purchase at the gate each night of the event.
