How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
The combined drama, instrumental, and vocal departments of John Burroughs High School are presenting the delightful Broadway musical favorite, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, for the community’s enjoyment.
Power, romance, ambition, greed … it’s just another day at the office! From the authors of Guys and Dolls comes one of the most delightfully irreverent musicals of all time. A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses an instructional handbook to help him climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive.
The main cast of characters features Robby Motz as Finch, Sarah Clack as Rosemary, Alex Gouge-Shajer as J.B., Evan Philpot as Bud Frump, Grace McCarney as Smitty, Bronwen Capshaw as Miss Jones, Denim Ohmit as Mr. Twimble, and over 25 additional students in featured and ensemble performances. The orchestra will feature IMA students along with professional musicians. Performances are Friday, Feb. 3, and Saturday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m., in the Burroughs Auditorium located at 1920 W. Clark Ave. in Burbank.
