Celebrating five years in Venice, the 2013 Summer Festival takes place July 27 and 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1800 Ocean Front Walk. Summer Fest celebrates the summer season and is the biggest two-day summer event at Venice Beach.

Plan now for two days of family fun at the beach featuring 60 bands and performers live on stage and gourmet food from all over the world.

Both tourists and locals from throughout Southern California are expected to attend. Over the years, the Summer Fest has grown to become one of the largest community events of its kind in the region.

Attendees and participants are best described as people who are environmentally conscious, focused on health, who love animals, enjoy bicycling, are family-oriented, unpretentiously hip, and arts-minded.

The event features up to 200 arts and crafts vendors, natural product companies, community organizations, a variety of entertainment plus a youth and family courtyard with rock climbing.
